Townsend Bell Named Skip Barber Brand Ambassador

DANVILLE, Va.– Townsend Bell will join Skip Barber Racing School as a brand ambassador.
Bell is a graduate of the school and also a former instructor.
He is the 2001 Indy Lights champion, 2014 24 Hours of Daytona winner, 2015 IMSA GTD champion, 2016 LeMans 24 winner and ten-time Indianapolis 500 winner with a best fourth place finish in 2009.
He competed in the SBRS Formula Dodge School Championship in 1997 and the Barber Pro Series Championship in 1998 and 1999. In his new role as brand ambassador, Bell will help promote the school and act as a key advisor to future SBRS growth initiatives.
“My professional motorsport career simply wouldn’t be possible without Skip Barber Racing School,” Bell said. “They are the gold standard in race car driver training and I am truly delighted to support them in their growth. The school’s brand new fleet of Formula 4 cars provide an ideal platform to teach skills that Skip Barber established over 40 years ago.While the proven core curriculum remains, the implementation of advanced telemetry analytics and on-board video systems has brought the school to levels on par with top teams I am a proud graduate of SBRS and even prouder to return to the program in this new role.
